'S MEMORABLE CHARITY TRIP IN MUONG LA, SON LA

On the night of the 2nd and early morning of August 3, 2017, floods and flash floods suddenly swept through Nam Pam stream, Chien stream, Nam Hong stream in Nam Pam, Chieng Muon, Chieng San, Chieng Hoa communes and the town. Little Ong in Muong La district, Son La province caused great damage to people and property, swept away hundreds of houses and left great damage to the villagers. Many people went broke overnight.
      According to statistics as of the afternoon of August 10, 2017, the flash flood left 15 people dead and missing, 12 people injured, 398 houses damaged, 15 schools, 7 cultural works affected, 282%. hectares of rice were completely damaged, more than 2,500 cattle and nearly 16,000 poultry died or were swept away... This flood is considered a historic disaster and the biggest in the past 70 years.
       As soon as they received the news, the Company's Trade Union Executive Committee quickly coordinated with the SIC Youth Union to organize a meeting on August 10, 2017, calling on the collective to join hands to support flood victims and receive support. Enthusiastic response from the Board of Directors and all employees working at SIC.
      The next day, August 11, 2017, the SIC Charity Delegation started departing at 2:30 pm from CharmVit lobby - 117 Tran Duy Hung - Cau Giay - Hanoi to Muong La town, province. Son La to do charity work, helping people suffering damage caused by the historic flood.
      At dawn on August 12, 2017, the delegation began their charity trip. Even though the roads were remote and difficult, it was known that the weather forecast would continue to rain and that flash floods could occur at any time of the day, but with fiery spirits, the 6-member delegation of SIC officers still decided to Tam set out to the village to join other charity groups to hand-deliver small gifts to the affected people.
      Moving into the village with a dump truck, we discovered countless houses collapsing on both sides of the stream - The peaceful stream as told by the people before our eyes, waves rippled beside the rocks. Big rocks blocked the road, somewhere around there were still bewildered eyes of children longing to have a roof to live in again. 
      After nearly 5 hours of traveling on bumpy, rocky and muddy roads, there were times when the group had to stop the vehicle to help another group push the vehicle through a raging stream where the tires were flooded, causing the engine to stall. At 12 noon on the same day, the delegation arrived at Bau village to deliver the first gifts to household. It can be said that this is the trip that leaves the most meaningful and memorable memories for the SIC Charity Group. 

The SIC charity delegation came to meet and work with the Party Secretary and Village Heads of the villages most severely damaged in the recent historic flood. 100 damaged household items were personally given, including:

+ 17 households in Ban Bau - Nam Pam Commune;

+ 23 households in Huoi Soi Village - Nam Pam Commune;

+ 23 households in Ban Pieg - Nam Pam Commune,

+ 20 households in Huoi Lieng village - Nam Pam commune.
